Qualifiers for BSPA, EX- RACERS, ASS, BSPS,BSHA, EQUIFEST

and MARRIAGES RIDING CLUB PONY

 

All Classes Excluding 18,19,20,21,22,23,33are qualifiers for Equifest the three highest exhibits not already qualified will qualify for the Equifest finals to be held at the East of England showground on the 15th - 17th August 2008

 

All Classes are qualifiers to the Amateur Showing Society Summer Championships to be held 2nd & 3rd August 2008 at Arena UK. 1st -3rd Qualify. See www.amateurshowingsociety.co.uk. For details

 

This show is affiliated to BSPS 179/08 and all BSPS classes will be judged according to the rules of the BSPS. Any pony taking part in classes judged under BSPS rules will be liable for dope testing. This show is also a qualifier for the BSPS email points accumulator. Points to be emailed by exhibitors to info@bsps.com this show is a qualifier for the BSPS Championship show. BSPS Harry Hall Rider of the year, BSPS Traveltrust Assn Challenge & the BSPS Premier league.

 

Classes  6,7,16 &17 are affiliated to the BSHA and will run under their rules and Jurisdiction. All entries must be registered with, and riders and owners must be members of BSHA. The first 3 in each class will qualify for the Classic Supreme at the National Championship show to be held in September. Award of merit, Amateur and Young rider rosettes will be awarded in classes 6 & 7 to the best Registered cob . This will only be awarded down to 8th place. No horse may receive more than one award in each showing season.

 

Classes 18 & 19 Competitors must be a member of a riding club. All riders to be of Amateur status as per BSHA rules. Highest place qualifies for the National Championship show in September.

 

Class 11 & 15 are BSPA classes are open to skewbald and piebald horse & ponies only. These classes are affiliated to the BSPA and are qualifiers for the world championships of colour national championship show 2008.Classes will be judges within the rule s& criteria of BSPA. Phone 01354 638226 or www.bspaonline.com for details. All stallions 4 years & over must be graded licensed & registered with BSPA in order to compete. Open to members & non Members. In order to qualify all owners/handlers/riders must be members of the BSPA & all horses/ponies registered with BSPA prior to the show. BSPA qualification cards must be produced in the ring & be signed by the judge, otherwise the qualification is invalid. 1st -3rd qualify  1st -4th qualify for classes exc 12

 

Class 33  1st - 4th qualify for the Suffolk final to be held at Newton Hall, Ipswich on 5th October 2008

 

Sashes 1st -6th in all classes

Class 5 THE BSPS Show Pony - Open to mares or geldings, 4 years old & over,

exc 138cm but not exc 148cm. riders not to have attained the 17th birthday before 1st January in the current year

Championship A = All 1st & 2nd from classes 1 -5 qualify 

Class 6 Ridden Light Weight Cob Mare or gelding 4 years & over  exc 148cm but not exc 155cm  capable of carrying up to 14 stone riders to have attained their 15th birthday before 1st Jan in the current year  

Class 7 Ridden Heavy Weight Cob Mare or gelding 4 years & over exc 148cm but not exc 155cm capable of carrying over 14 stone riders to have attained their 15th birthday before 1st Jan in the current year

Class 8 Ridden Light Weight Hunter Mare or gelding 4 years and over capable of carrying up to 12.7 stone  exc 153cm riders to have attained their 16th birthday before 1st Jan in the current year

Class 9 Ridden Middle Weight Hunter Mare or gelding 4 years and over capable of carrying 12.7 stone but not 14 stone  exc 153cm riders to have attained their 16th birthday before 1st Jan in the current year

Class 10 Ridden Heavy Weight Hunter Mare or gelding 4 years and over capable of carrying over 14 stone but not 14 stone  exc 153cm riders to have attained their 16th birthday before 1st Jan in the current year

Championship B All 1st & 2nd Classes 6 - 10 qualify

Horses will be judged upon their conformation, manners, way of going and adaptability to their new career. 1st and 2nd placed competitors in this class will qualify for the Ex-Racers Club Championship Show to be held at Arena UK in October.

Class 21 Absolute Horse All Rounder Pony Qualifier- Open to mares or geldings, 4 years old & over, off lead rein not exc 148cm. Will be required to jump a course of not less that 3 fences not to exceed 2’. the 2 highest placed not already qualified will qualify for the final.

Class 22 Absolute Horse All Rounder Horse Qualifier- Open to mares or geldings, 4 years old & over, off lead rein exc 148cm. Will be required to jump a course of not less that 3 fences not to exceed 2’3“. the 2 highest placed not already qualified will qualify for the final.

FASTENED HAT AND CORRECT FOOT WEAR TO BE WORN WHEN RIDING ON THE SHOW GROUND.

SMART AND CORRECT DRESS TO BE WORN.

PRIZES MAY BE WITHHELD IF INSUFFICIENT ENTRIES.

IF CLASSES DONT CLASH IN THE SCHEDULE THEY WONT CLASH ON THE DAY.

NO CLAIM CAN BE ENTERTAINED FOR ANYTHING THAT MAY HAPPEN TO COMPETITORS, SPECTATORS, THEIR PROPERTY, SERVANTS OR HORSES IN CONNECTION WITH OR ARISING OUT OF THE SHOW.

THE SHOW GROUND IS ON A BUSY MAIN ROAD THE GATES WILL BE ATTENDED FROM 8AM UNTIL 10AM WHEN UNATTENDED PLEASE ENSURE GATES ARE CLOSED BEHIND YOU.
